Tanta pasión en una banda británica (especialemente si esta agrupación es londinense y joven), me pareció increíble. Como comenté en una entrada del blog de Héctor, conocí a Coldplay en el invierno de 2001 estando en Sheffield, Inglaterra, y es verdad que la humedad inglesa, la frialdad y la indiferencia de los británicos, hizo que pudiera apreciar la calidez y pasión que hay en las melodías de Coldplay. También comentaba en el mencionado blog que algo más que me hizo apreciarlos, es la forma desenfadada y descaradamente abierta con la que hablan de sus "influencias" musicales, como en el siguiente ejemplo: "Íbamos en el tren rumbo a Liverpool y escuchábamos el All things must pass de George Harrison cuando notamos que el piano en Isn't it a pity estaba bien chido y que era un círculo muy padre... entonces decidimos componer The scientist. ¡Qué tanates! ¿No les encantan?
